Ma certo quei buonissimi dolcetti (o tortine) fatti di quell'impasto che somiglia tanto al plumcake (il nostro impasto per il ciambellone) e poi glassate con una crema dolce al burro o a base di formaggio, che prendono varianti di tutti i gusti. vado da Magnolia Bakery, famosi nella preparazione di queste meraviglie (assaggiate anche il banana pudding mi raccomando....), ma non disdegno anche altri posti quali per esempio Sprinkle Cupcake. Aperto a Beverly Hills in California ha avuto subito un grande successo e a oggi ci sono due locations a Manhattan, una nuova di zecca al Brookfield Place, a Downtown ed un altra a 760 Lexington Avenue tra la 60th e la 61th Strada dove e' in funzione anche un Capcake ATM ovvero un distributore automatico aperto 24 h per cui se vi viene voglia dopo una serata in discoteca o nelle ore dell'alba sappiate che non avete scuse (un po come facevo io a Roma, quando dopo ore passate sulla pista da ballo mi fermavo a via delle Milizie a mangiare cornetti caldi o pizzette appena fatte...che bei ricordi!) I gusti sono svariati, ottima e' la classica Red Velvet ma anche quella al Cioccolato fondente e' buonissima. Sprinkle offre anche cupcake senza zucchero, senza glutine o vegane ma in gusti limitati ovviamente. I gusti variano di mese in mese e sono disponibili in determinati giorni della settimana potete vedere i gusti sul loro sito internet per quest'autunno sono stati il Caramello Salato , Arancia. You should have known by now that i have a thing for cupcakes....well i have a thing for anything sweet and anything fried i must admit, although i try to limit all of these calorie and fat intake but it's just too much! New York is overwhelming when it comes to food! So now let me share the love i have for cupcakes and basically two of my favorite spots are Magnolia Bakery and Sprinkle Cupcake. Sprinkly is a lot of fun starting from the taste and the fact that it offers also gluten free and vegan versions. Taste varies from month to month and if you want a particular flavor you must check which day of the week it's gonna be available. What's nice though, is that you can have their cupcakes any time of the day, any minute. They brought to NYC the first cupcake ATM so whenever you feel, after a night at the club or very early in the morning you can go there and pick up your favorite sweets. Sprinkle has recently opened its second location in Manhattan at Brookfield Place have you checked the food court at Brookfield Place?
