Ultimo giorno per l'installazione di Dan Graham sulla terrazza del Met - Metropolitan Museum Rooftop Art Installation last day!

Ciao a tutti! Se ancora non lo sapete il Metropolitan Museum of Art di New York non solo offre le piu' importanti opere d'arte al mondo ma anche una bellissima terrazza panoramica dove vengono allestite istallazioni artistiche di vario genere durante la bella stagione. Oggi e' l'ultima occasione per visitare l'installazione di Dan Graham with Gunther Vogt che ha aperto il 29 Aprile Scorso.

 Inoltre dalla terrazza si gode  un panorama fantastico su Manhattan e Central Park e potete scattare delle foto bellissime ora che i colori autunnali stanno magicamente trasformando gli alberi.

L'installazione e' una struttura fatta di acciaio e vetro curvato inserito tra due pannelli ricoperti di edera il tutto costruito su un tappeto di erba sintetica. Camminando intorno alla struttura si puo' notare che il vetro riflette lo skyline di Manhattan e nello stesso tempo l'edera proietta sul vetro un fascio di colori ricreando la vegetazione del parco che vi circonda. Praticamente e' come se l'immagine stessa di Central Park e dello skyline si specchiasse in questo vetro trasparente grazie all'aiuto della luce naturale. Un gioco di luci ,colori e riflessi molto curioso e che intriga lo spettatore facendolo parte interattiva dell'opera.  E poi se non riuscite proprio a capire l'opera, vale sempre la pena per godere della panoramica sulla citta' che e' una delle piu' belle!  Per maggiori info cliccate qui e controllate che oggi la terrazza sia aperta come previsto. Hello you all! Today is the last day to enjoy an interesting art installation at the Rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Did you know that the Met has a wonderful rooftop terrace where it holds art installations and from where you can enjoy a wonderful view over Midtown Manhattan and Central Park? Now it's more even beautiful thanks to the fall foliage of the trees and the colors which ranges from mustard yellows to deep reds and plum hues.  If your want nothing to do with  the New York City Marathon and are planning sum fun activity for today this is your last chance! Thes art installation is created by Dan Graham and Gunther Vogt and is a game of reflections and colors over a steel and transparent glass structure which reflects sun light and projects the skyscraper back to the glass. The structure is sided by two ivy covered panels which reflect blurred hues of green as well ....it practically recreates what you see from the terrace, the skyline and the park, urban industrial man made buildings and nature, while interacting with the viewers who can walk through the structure and be part of it.
