Un'altra mostra speciale in occasione delle Feste Natalizie qui a New York: conoscerete forse la mostra dei trenini al New York Botanical Garden e quella alla Grand Central Station dove ogni anno per Natale si esibiscono fantastici trenini che corrono in una New York ricostruita rispecchiando un mix tra immaginario collettivo e realta'. Quest'anno si aggiunge un'altra interessante mostra chiamata Holiday Express : Toys and Trains from the Jerni Collection
alla New York Historical Society Museum. La mostra trasformera' il primo piano del museo in un mondo fantastico fatto di giocattoli, trenini e scenografie di un'epoca passata e ormai tanto lontata....con l'aiuto di luci teatrali e musiche di sottofondo ed effetti speciali questi treni prenderanno di nuovo vita. Un altro bellissimo evento a cui partecipare durante le feste di Natale a New York. La mostra inizia il 23 Novembre fino al 22 Febbraio 2015. La New York Historical Society si trova al 170 Central Park West all'altezza della 77th Strada (ph 212 873 3400) Si puo' arrivare con la metropolitana B e C fino alla 81 Strada e con la 1 fino alla 79th Strada. E' aperto dal Martedi al Giovedi dalle 10 alle 6pm, il Venerdi dalle 10 alle 8pm, il Sabato dalle 10 alle 6pm e la domenica dalle 11 am alle 5pm. Il costo del biglietto e' di circa 19$ con offerta libera il Venerdi dalle 6 alle 8pm.
Hello you all! Do you like old trains? do you love the Holiday Season? Are you coming to New York City ? then this exhibition is just for you! The New York Historical Society will be using model trains, carousels, toys and tunnels to transform its first floor into a magical wonderland with the help of theatrical lights, screens and music. The exhibition is called "Holiday Express: Toys and Trains from the Jerni Collection" where unique hand-crafted and hand painted toys and trains will live up the museum to please adults and a younger audience! The event starts November 23rd and will be ongoing till February 22 2015. The New York Historical Society is located at 170 Central Park West on the 77th Street . You can reach it by Subway lines B and C and get off at 81st Street or the no. 1 line getting off at 79th Street. Below the opening hours.
