Ciao a tutti ! Questo Settembre 2014 ci ha regalato delle giornate splendide e ieri sembrava essere tornati ad Agosto con piacevolissime temperature ed un cielo meraviglioso. Pertanto ho deciso di fare una bella "scampagnata" (si fa per dire....) a Brooklyn, precisamente lungo il Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Questo parco che si affaccia lungo tutta la baia si estende dal Pier 6 fino al Manhattan Bridge / Main Street Dumbo ed offre davvero di tutto dall'area picnic con i grill per fare il barbecue, a opere d'arte all'aperto a campi di basket per i giovani a parchi per i bambini, food stands, parchi dei cani, campi di pallavolo e ci sono tante aree ancora in costruzione che verranno completate il prossimo anno. Inoltre sia in estate che d'inverno si organizzano tantissimi eventi quali cinema all'aperto, lezioni di fitness, spettacoli, concerti. Insomma un regalo per tutti i cittadini un area di ritrovo dove rilassarsi e divertirsi. Ma il vero regalo sta nella bellissima vista che il parco offre su Downtown Manhattan, vista mozzafiato (secondo me la seconda piu' bella vista che si puo' avere su New York) che attira fotografi e artisti armati di tavolozza e pennelli per riprodurre lo spettacolo. Hello you all! It's the Indian Summer in New York, temperatures are still high and we are enjoying this September as much as we can. Yesterday i left work early and decided to take a walk along the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Although some areas are still in construction this park offer spectacular views over downtown Manhattan and the park itself is a little jewel on its own. It stretches from Pier 6 - Atlantic Avenue to Dumbo, Main Street and offers a variety of activities for all ages such as biking , basketball fields, volleyball, dog runs, kids play areas, picnic areas with barbecue grills and much much more. All you have to do is take half day off from whatever you are doing and just go! you won't regret it. There's plenty of food too, and you will find some familiar names over there such as Shake Shack or Grimaldi Pizzeria as well as local small businesses eager to let you feel like home. In traghetto / by ferry East River Ferry, New York Water Taxi or Governors Island ferry to Brooklyn Bridge Park
