Dumbo Arts Festival: Brooklyn respira l'arte

Ciao a tutti! Anche quest'anno a Dumbo il quartiere piu' cool di Brooklyn, l'area che si trova sotto il Manhattan Bridge ricca di palazzi ristrutturati ad uso residenziale, localini chic e studi professionali d'artisti organizza il Dumbo Arts Festival, una tre giorni di installazioni visuali all'aperto, mostre d'arte il tutto per far conoscere ai Newyorkesi l'arte "locale", i lavori di gente che New York la vive ogni giorno.

Ma non solo perche' gli artisti partecipanti provengono anche da altri paesi. Inoltre ci saranno delle performances artistiche in strada e molti studi di artisti verranno aperti e si potranno visitare. Potrete conoscere gli artisti e fare domande sul loro lavoro, vedere dove operano ed e' anche un'occasione per visitare questi palazzi un po' misteriosi di Dumbo. Lo scorso anno ho partecipato e sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa, specialmente visitando gli studi, ero comunque piu' interessata all'architettura e allo stato dei palazzi e alla vista di cui si poteva godere su Manhattan. Solo questo non vale una visitina? che ne dite? Di seguito alcune fotografie dello scorso anno. Hello you all! September will leave us soon but not without some lovely events to attend to here in New York! Like the Dumbo Arts Festival, ever heard about it? Its a three days event full of arts, visual installations, photo exhibits and much more. You will get to enjoy the lovely view over Manhattan, you will visit the Brooklyn based artists' studios, you will meet art in the park and you will have a blast! Dumbo is an ever growing neighborhood, so cool and full of life with lots of nice places to eat as well. So are you going? The Dumbo Arts Festival is this weekend, September 26th -28th You can download the map here to get all info you need. On Friday the events will start from 6 to 9 pm, while Saturday from 12 to 9pm and on Sunday from 12 to 6pm. You can reach the location by Subway (recommended) F train to York Street, A or C train to Brooklyn Bridge and 2 or 3 train to Clark Street. Enjoy!
