Ciao a tutti, qui a New York City la primavera tarda ad arrivare e vivere a New York significa anche convivere con un inverno lungo e freddo. Quest'anno poi e' stato veramente un anno molto freddo e cosi' ci tocca ancora indossare pesanti abiti, calzettoni e stivali. Nonostante qualche tentativo primaverile oggi le temperature sono ancora intorno agli 0 gradi e si prevede anche una spruzzata di neve. Ma fortunatamente possiamo recarci da Macys,
chiudere gli occhi un paio di secondi fare un respiro profondo e riaprili di nuovo, per trovarsi di fronte un immenso giardino tropicale. Et voila'! la primavera sembra piu' vicina! Tutto questo grazie al Macy's Flower Show iniziato il 23 Marzo e che si protrarra' fino al 6 aprile. Ovviamente non potevo perdermi lo spettacolo pertanto ci ho fatto un salto all'ora di pranzo. Tutto il piano terra ed il mezzanino di questo storico department store e' stato addobbato da migliaia e migliaia di fiori e piante di tutte le specie, c'e' anche una guida che anticipa ai curiosi notizie e piccoli segreti nascosti fra le diverse piante. All'entrata principale, una dama in rosso vestita solo di fiori invita i turisti ad immergersi in questo spettacolo. dove i profumi dei fiori si mischiano agli aromi delle nostre comuni boccette di profumi (infatti il piano terra ospita il reparto di cosmetici e profumeria). Uno show "indoor" piacevole e adattissimo viste le temperature ancora "polari" . Enjoy! Hello you all! Today i decided to check out this incredible show held at Macy's the iconic department store in Herald Square on 34th Street. Wow, have i tought would be so beautiful I would have gone the first day of opening! The show is called "The Secret Garden" and has transformed Macys' ground floor and mezzanine into a tropical multicolored garden where the scents of the flowers mix up with the fragrances bottles in the cosmetic department, a scenting galore for the sensitive noses! More than 300 plants and flower species, thousands of flowers located on the different booths counters, on shelves, on the ceiling beams, in the middle of the hallways, flower bouquets and decoration truly a fantastic way to get a free indoor show and enjoy spending time avoiding the cold temperatures!
