The New York Botanical Garden Holiday train show - Ciao a tutti! Quest'anno ahime niente Italia, il bel paese lo rivedro' solo il prossimo Marzo. Quindi rimarro' qui a New York e mentre mi preparo per andare a sciare giro per la citta' e continua il mio speciale reportage sul Natale a New York! Oggi sono andata a vedere lo spettacolare
Holiday Train Show al New York Botanical Garden nel Bronx. Sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa perche questo show e' veramente per tutti, grandi e piccini. Un set particolare, tra piante esotiche e fiori dai colori sgargianti, questo show include la riproduzione di piu di 140 palazzi e posti storici di New York tra cui lo Yankee Stadium, il Radio City Music Hall, il Brooklyn Bridge e tanti ancora, creati dall'artista Paul Busse e il suo team con materiali prettamente provenienti dalla  natura quali frutta, legnetti, semi, pigne . Potrete anche appronfondire lo studio e la ricostruzione degli stessi in un' area speciale dove si vedono i diversi procedimenti di realizzazione. E poi ci sono i bellissimi trenini, in larga scala, che viaggiano su rotaie moderne e antiche, su ponti elevati sotto cascate e nei tunnels.Infine, sempre nell'area dedicata allo studio dell'artista, altre riproduzioni di monumenti storici e non, quali per esempio la sfinge e il partenone, o il 66 diner.  Se avete dei bambini inoltre, potrete portarli al Gingerbread Adventures, un' area dedicata esclusivamente a  loro dove dipendenti del museo insegnano ai bambini come sono fatti i famosi gingerbread e rendono la visita interattiva mostrandogli i vari ingredienti, facendogli creare decorazioni e molto di piu ! Inutile dire che ho fatto un migliaio di foto ma per ovvi motivi ve ne mostro solo alcune salienti..... Enjoy!

Hello you all! This year im gonna be spending Christmas in New York. So i won't fly to Italy like the past year so im gonna keep covering Christmas in New York. Today i spent the day at the New York Botanical Garden for the traditional Holiday Train Show! I think I'm so in love with this exhibition as it is simply spectacular. Divided in three different parts it features the famous New York landmarks reproduction, more than 140 different historical New York buildings created by the hands of Artist Paul Busse and his team. Made of natural material such as bark, twigs stems fruits seeds and pine cones they will simply enchant you and you will be amazed of how meticously crafted they are. You can see the New York Yankee stadium, The Radio City Music Hall, St Patricks cathedral and many many more. Then there are the trains, beautiful large scale trains which runs over old and modern tracks and travel across rustic bridges , through tunnels and past waterfalls into flowing creeks. There is also a section dedicated to the artist's studio where you can see how these building reproductions are created. This year you can also see other major artworks such as the Parthenon, the Sphynx, Route 66 diner, a replica of Macy's flaghip store and much more. If you have kids they are gonna have a blast and you can let the fun go on by visiting the Gingerbread Adventures, made specifically for kids where they learn how gingerbread is made and can also decorate gingerbread cookies! • Weekdays: Tuesday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
• Weekends: 10 a.m.–7 p.m., including Friday, November 23 (day after Thanksgiving)
• Holiday Weeks (Monday, December 17–Tuesday, January 1): 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
• Early closings: December 14 and 24; 3 p.m.
• Closed: November 22 (Thanksgiving) and December 25 (Christmas)
