Plaza Hotel e il Wollman skating rink a Central Park

Ciao a tutti e buon Santo Stefano! Passeggiando per New York in questi giorni ho raccolto tantissime foto e oggi e' un buon motivo per condividerle con voi! Il Natale a New York e' un momento che non scordi mai, la citta' e' doppiamente illuminata da decorazioni natalizie.

Ogni anno mi ripeto che non mi faro' sorprendere da New York, ma ogni anno perdo la sfida e ritorno bambina e mi emoziono di fronte agli alberi illuminati da file di luci. Se passeggiate per Fifth Avenue vi consiglio di fare un salto al Plaza Hotel, di fronte a Central Park (per intenderci, di fronte all'Apple store...) e dare un'occhiata all' albero di Natale che quest'anno e'  ispirato al Grande Gatsby. Proseguite sulla 59th Strada fino al Columbus Circle, il nuovo Timer Warner Center, ed ammirate lo spettacolo "Holidays under the stars" dove giganti stelle sembrano cadere dal cielo e colorarsi di varie sfumature di giallo blu e verde  (fino al 3 Gennaio) . Di fronte al Time Warner Center poi un mercatino natalizio (Columbus Circle Holidays Fair, organizzato dalle stesse persone di quello di Union Square)  vi sara' molto utile per trovare souvenir e regali eclettici e originali. E se vi va di fare un po di moto poi perche non un giro sui pattini sulla pista di pattinaggio a Central Park, con uno scenario mozzafiato, la pista Wollman Rink (anche chiamata Trump rink ) vi regalera momenti indimenticabili! Hello my friends...for those of you who are not Italians, let me tell you today  is Holiday as well in Italy! So im glad to share with you more pictures of New York and keep my festive attitude. If you are travelling to New York these days or planning for the next Christmas all this will be very usefull to your trip. While i was walking on Fifth Avenue, i stopped at the Plaza Hotel to catch up with their Holidays Christmas tree. Well it looked very elegant! Inspired by the Great Gatsby it features gold and silver decorations which are totally matching with the beautiful chrystal chandeliers. I love the Plaza, once welcoming celebrities like Marilin Mornoe, Jackie Kennedy, the Beatles and many more. Then i walked along 59th Street to arrive to the new Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. Over there you can admire the wonderful show "Holidays under the stars" a display of giants stars hanging from the huge ceiling which change colors and are simply breathtaking. If you are up for Holidays shopping you can stop at the Holiday market right in front of it, the Columbus Circle Holidasy Fair, organized by the same people of the one in Union Square. And finally if you are up for some excercise why don't stroll around the Wollman skating rink (now Trump rink) and have a blast on the Ice (through Dec 30th) ? Enjoy!
