Ciao a tutti! Vi ho parlato in un post precedente della nuova mostra che si e' appena aperta al Guggenheim Museum di New York sul futurismo Italiano (ecco il post). Ma questo non e' l'unico evento perche in concomitanza a questo importantissimo evento ha aperto le porte un nuovo centro
dedicato alla promozione della cultura dell'arte contemporanea Italiana del 20mo secolo a New York. Si chiama CIMA ovvero Center for Italian Modern Art, ed ho assolutamente intenzione di andare a vedere di cosa si tratta. Questo centro e' nato nel 2013 dalla curatrice e storica darte e collezionista Laura Mattioli ed e' dedicato alla promozione dell'arte contemporanea Italiana negli USA e nel Mondo. La prima mostra che ci offre e' legata anch'essa al Futurismo Italiano e tratta Fortunato Depero, l'artista futurista che visse anche a New York. Circa 50 opere tra pittura, scultura e diversi media. La mostra ha aperto ufficialmente Febbraio 22 e si protrarra' fino a Giugno 28.
Il centro e' aperto al pubblico due giorni a settimana, il Venerdi ed il Sabato ed i tours sono guidati. La visita dura circa 1 ora ed il costo e' di 10$. Gratis per gli studenti con prenotazione. A quanto pare bisogna prenotare online a questo link . Ovviamente vedere l'arte Italiana contemporanea avere questa rilevanza qui a New York mi rende immensamente onorata e fiera del mio paese e spero che tantissimi Americani possano vivere quelle emozioni che vivo io di fronte alla nostra cultura. Hello you all! i spoke about a very importan exhibition in a recent post about Italian Futurism being featured at the Guggenheim Museum. Now you have another chance of experiencing Italian Art by visiting a brand new cultural center which just opened in New York, the Center for Italian Modern Art. Their first exhibition is strictly related to the Guggenheim one because it features another excellent futurist artist Fortunato Depero. More than 50 artworks in different medias, guided tours to book in advance with a 10$ ticket. Not bad i'd say, ain't so? Then what are you waiting for? call and realize why Italian 20th Century art has been unreasonably kept in the corner for such a long time from International exhibitions! But first thing first, enjoy it! The Center is open to public only on Friday and Saturdays and only with guided tours. They must be booked in advanced and the ticket cost is 10$ , free for students.
