Sono state prese delle misure di sicurezza imponenti qui a New York con la chiusura degli uffici , del NY Stock Exchange, ovvero Wall Street, le scuole, le metropolitane e tanto altro per oggi e domani. Il cielo comincia a scurirsi e il vento si alza. Sulle televisioni americane non si parla che di Sandy e a New York cominciano a vedersi i primi allagamenti e qualche inconveniente del tipo:

Manhattan e' una costruzione a cielo aperto ci sono migliaia di cantieri e molti su grattacieli, per non parlare del nuovo World Trade Center.

Il brutto dovrebbe arrivare questa sera e durare tutta la notte e domani pomeriggio. Per il momento tutti ci rinchiudiamo giustamente a casa e ci prendiamo questo riposo forzato. Le cose da fare non mi mancano, ovvero studiare, lavorare al computer, coccolare i miei due bimbi a 4 zampe che ronfano sul divano, blog e tante altre cose, ma l'unica cosa che mi riesce bene e' sedermi sul divano e vedermi un bel film! voi che dite?

Hello Guys, its 5pm here in New York City and we are waiting for Sandy, the unprecedented Hurricane which is haunting us since a week now ...thinking it's Halloween, this is a hell of a scary monster isn't it? Anyway so far we had rough winds and light rain here in New York although some areas along the river were flooded. Subways are shut down, and tomorrow as well. Same for Wall Street, Offices, Schools...well i'd say almost everything will stay close. Some problems are beginning to rise. A crane of a high rise building in construction collapsed on West 57th Street fortunately with no injuries. Above some websites you can visit to get updates and follow up on the storm. Stay safe all of you affected by this storm! In the meantime i have plenty of things to do these two days, besides studying working, blogging,shopping online (what?!!!) and cuddle with my two puppies...xoxo mili
